1.
"You have come to destroy me, have you not?" Said Darth Vader.
"Damn straight I have!" Replied Captain Kristian Johnson of the Qapla' class USS Kasatka-B. Kris had been chasing the Dark Lord for years. Now the final confrontation was about to take place, here on the Super Star Destroyer Exocomp .
Darth drew his lightsaber. "Do you have a bright yellow? Mine's almost used up" he said, handing Kris an electric blue Crayola marker.
"I'm getting too old for this shit! Pay up or die, extra-terrestrial scum!" Kris yelled.
"Uhh... apologies, young man, but I haven't a cent on me..."
"Maktor! Leeloo! Help the Vader here find his Multipass!" Maktor the velociraptor and Leeloo the supreme being stepped out of the large Federation away team. Maktor held a razor-sharp claw inches from Vader's respirator as Leeloo searched his deep pockets.
Suddenly Leeloo shrieked. "Multipass!" She said, handing Kris the multi-colored card.
Kris protested loudly when Leeloo shrieked. "Damn it Leeloo! Sensitive dolphin ears, remember?"
"Multipass!" she said again, jumping up and down like a sissy girl. Maktor had to resist the urge to slice her open, spilling her guts on the polished duranite floor. How much he wanted to...
Kris slipped the card into his tricorder. "Ah-HA!" he said triumphantly. "I see here that you currently owe the Federation one Imperial Battlestation, the Death Star, hmm..."
"I will give you what you ask if you will only leave me in peace!" Darth pleaded, eying Maktor's claw at his face. Maktor stared coldly back with a catlike eye.
"Well, since you don't HAVE a Death Star, how do you expect to-" Kris trailed off when a subspace transporter beam lit up the area.
Only one person was stupid enough to use a subspace transporter, with all of its quirks and anomalies...
"Nicholas Oberly." Kris said with disgust.
The dark figure stepped into the light of the room. "So! We meet again, dark overlord of the universe" Nick said.
Kris took the compliment. "Well, as long as you put it that way..."
"I was talking to Darth Vader, THANK YOU! Now get your lizard away from him before I remove it myself."
Maktor looked at Kris, who gave the raptor a nod. Maktor backed away from Vader, looking at Oberly and giving a long, menacing growl.
"Ohh, I'm really afraid of a six-foot iguana" taunted Nick. "Now that the tension has been slightly reduced, I will explain why I came."
"Let me guess. Your toilet clog up again? I'm sure Darth here would be happy to scrub it for you." Kris said with a sly grin.
"Go to hell. I came because I want what only Darth Vader can give me-"
"A good blow job?"
"SPEAK AGAIN AND I SHALL KILL YOU!" Oberly yelled. He looked directly at Vader. "My payment, if you would, Dark Lord."
"I am afraid that Captain Johnson had already claimed it." Said Vader.
Nick exploded in outrage. "WHAT!? Why, you scum-sucking, lizard-kissing, ass-wiping good-for-nothing piece of-"
"NO!" Darth yelled. "Not in front of the children!" He motioned with his hand to the floor a few meters away where several helmets resembling Darth's moved about the floor, apparently on small legs.
Nick turned to Kris. "Well then. If you would, Kris, return to your ship, and we will settle this like men!"
"Uhh, yeah Nick, but one thing; I'm not a man, remember?"
"Oh, yeah, I forgot, you're half fish."
"DOLPHIN you Irish bum! Dolphin! When are you going to get that straight?"
"I don't care if you're a Q! May the best man... or cetan win!" Nick tapped his wrist and immediately vanished.
"If it's a fight he wants, then it's a fight he's going to get!" Kris said. He then tapped his comm badge. "Johnson to Kasatka! Six to beam up!" Johnson's team dematerialized seconds later.

2.
Captain Johnson stepped onto the bridge of the Kasatka . He looked around for a moment, admiring the bridge of the great ship. His admiration was interrupted when a dolphin officer 'swam' up to him. It was the tactical officer, Lieutenant Deriki.
"Sir, sensors report that the Sibilant is holding position a few thousand kilometers off the Exocomp !" the dolphin said exuberantly.
Kris sighed. Deriki was way too hyper for his taste. But, he was the son of Laka, and the best tactical officer the Federation had since Laka was killed. "All right, thank you lieutenant. Take your position and go to red alert status."
'Aye sir!" said the dolphin, and returned to his tactical console. A few seconds later the lights on the bridge changed color to dark red, and a warning klaxon sounded.
Johnson sat down in his chair. "All hands, this is the captain. We are about to engage in battle with the starship Sibilant . Report to your red alert stations at this time."
Suddenly the communications panel beeped, and Ensign Leeloo let out a screech. All of the dolphins on the bridge winced in pain. "Catpin! Sibilant message incoming!" Leeloo yelled.
Navigation officer Mrako turned to face Leeloo. "What in the hell are you talking about?"
"Message! Good from Nick! Call or respond, Catpin?" she said again.
"Uhh..." Johnson thought for a moment. "Respond, Leeloo, I think..."
"Goody! Respond Catpin!" Leeloo hit some buttons, and an underexposed image of Nick Oberly appeared on the screen.
"Ooh, scary!" said the ensign.
Mrako lost her patience. "Shut up, you pity excuse for a life form!" she said, making her claws plainly visible to all.
Johnson stood up and walked forward a few steps, putting a hand on Mrako's arm. "Settle down, Mrako" he said, and then faced the viewer. "Hello Captain."
"Ahh, my faithful friend Kristian Johnson. Getting along well, I trust?"
"Just fine. What exactly is your point in hailing me? Are you stalling?"
"Of course not. I just wanted to tell you that I will give you one hour to make plans for the battle. When that hour is up, I will not warn. I will simply attack."
"And you are doing this because?"
"Because-" Nick began, and a voice from off the screen interrupted him.
"Because he's a sissy!" the voice said. Laughter erupted on the bridge.
"Damn all of you to-" Nick yelled, and the transmission was cut off. Kris turned to the rest of the bridge with a smirk, and raised his hands in a questioning gesture.
"Captain," Deriki said, "I'm reading phaser fire on the bridge of the Sibilant ."
"Life forms?" Kris asked.
"I was reading eight, but now it's down to three."
"What an idiot" Mrako said. "Kill hisss bridge crew before a battle. Great idea."
"Well, I figure it would have happened anyway. Now, all of you, I want this ship ready for battle! I want progress reports every fifteen minutes! I'll be in my ready room." Johnson walked to the rear of the bridge and into his ready room.

Fifteen minutes later, the ready room door chime sounded.
"Come in" Kris said.
The chief engineer, Commander Takkata-jim, entered the room. He handed the captain a PADD. "Here's our first status report, captain" he said.
Johnson looked it over quickly. "Thank you commander. If there are any problems, I'll be sure to let you know."
Takkata-jim gave a quick nod, and then 'swam' out of the room. Johnson reclined in his chair and began reading the report. A minute later, the chime sounded again.
"Come in."
The ship's counselor, K'ato, entered.
"What can I do for you, counselor?" Kris asked.
The velociraptor sat in the specially designed seat in the ready room. It was very unusual for a raptor to posses a level of emotion necessary to become a counselor, but K'ato did, and then some. She was as capable as any Betazoid. At least from what was known about Betazoids, since they were all annihilated in the Dominion War of 2376.
"I'm conssserned about sssomeone on the bridge" she said, looking at Kris with abnormally expressive eyes. Kris could see her concern.
"Let me guess. Myself?" Kris asked.
"No. It'sss Lieutenant Deriki. He seemsss very depresssed about his recent losss." She was talking about Hwiii, Deriki's father. Laka died when Deriki was just a calf. But less than six months ago, Hwiii was killed during a test flight of the new Warbird class attack cruiser.
"But... He seems so happy, so eager to please."
"That is how it appearsss. But inside, he isss sad. I can feel it when he talksss to you. He isss emotionally attached to you more than anyone elssse because you were closer to Hwiii than anyone elssse."
"So, what do you suggest?"
"Talk to him. Reassure him. Let him know that you underssstand how he feelsss. That will let him go on, rather than dwell on his pain. It could be dessstructive, over time."
"Thank you counselor. I will be sure to do that."
"Thank you for lissstening, captain. Good luck." K'ato got up, and walked out the door. Kris sat for a moment, thinking, and then went back to reading his report.

Fifteen minutes later, the engineer returned with a second progress report. Johnson was pleased with their progress. The dolphins were fast, efficient workers. When they first began working in space, they were assigned relatively simple tasks, such as sensor recalibration and upgrade studies. But Johnson saw much potential in their abilities. With some tight maneuvers in the Federation Council he was able to get a large cetacean crew assigned to the EHB Stenos , the first Qapla' class and dolphin crewed ship. Then, as the dolphins quickly took hold of most major positions, humans were needed only to oversee operations.
The next change in crew makeup was with the introduction of velociraptors into security positions. Rapidly proving their worth, much like the dolphins had years before, the raptors started gaining more than just security positions. And after the Dominion War of '76, they took positions such as ops, navigation, and for K'ato, counselor. Johnson was the only humanoid, aside from Leeloo, on the Kasatka .
There were other ships in the Federation, many more since the development of the Starship Replicator in 2380, but the Kasatka was alone now, assigned to deep space recon duty. The closest Federation outpost or base was a good week's travel at maximum transwarp.
Johnson looked at his desk in the ready room. He picked up Darth Vader's Multipass, and thought of Leeloo. What a circus freak, he thought. They had picked her up from the destroyed colony of Opo'dulak'e in the Delta Quadrant three weeks ago.
Now he realized what a mistake that was. She was the most annoying person Kris had ever met, except for Kori Prins, but he was killed in the Battle of Ts'chak. Why was she so annoying? Mostly because she never shut up. He could imagine putting Leeloo and K'ato in a locked room together. K'ato was the most nonviolent velociraptor Kris had ever met, but he was sure that even she couldn't stand Leeloo's unending mouth. He'd give them five minutes-
"Five minutes for what, sir?" said a high pitched voice.
Kris suddenly realized that he must have drifted off. He didn't even notice Deriki enter his ready room.
"Nothing, lieutenant. What do you have?"
He extended one of his waldow arms, holding a PADD. "Our last report, sir."
Johnson took the device. "Thank you Deriki." He began to look it over, and noticed that the dolphin was still there. "Is there anything else?"
Deriki hesitated. "Sir, I just wanted to say how glad I am to serve on the Kasatka and as an officer under your command." He smiled slightly.
Johnson stood up, and walked out from behind his desk. "Come here Deriki" he said, holding out his arms. The dolphin came forward, and Kris gave him a tight hug. "Whatever it is, you can talk to me. I'll listen."
"Thank you sir" said the dolphin. Kris let go, and Deriki turned to leave. Suddenly the ship jolted from an explosion outside. Johnson fell down, and stopped himself with his hands.
"Are you okay?" Deriki asked, extending a mechanical arm.
"Yes, thank you Lieutenant" he said, taking the appendage and getting up. "Now let's see what's going on." Together they walked out of the ready room.

3.
Johnson and Deriki exited the ready room, and the dolphin rushed to his position at tactical. Johnson sat in his chair. "Status report, number one!" he said, turning to his first officer, Commander Hikahi.
"Ablative armor absorbed the hit. Hull integrity is down to 95 percent. Outer shields are at full power, inner shields charging." The Qapla' class was one of the last large ships to have shields. Most larger vessels had mostly neutronium hulls, though this made them more massive and less maneuverable. As a result, the Kasatka was extremely maneuverable for her size.
"Incoming projectiles!" Deriki yelled.
"Projectiles! Yaa! Goody goody!" Leeloo sang. Mrako was about to dismember her when the torpedoes slammed into the ship.
"Is anybody's watch slow? I swear we had at least fifteen more minutes!" Hikahi said.
"No! The son-of-a-bitch is early!" Kris said. "Power up phaser banks and neutronium torpedo launchers. Prepare the disruptors for rapid fire." The Qapla' class was also one of the last ships to have phasers. Type XIII, to be exact.
"Disruptors ready captain! Forward torpedo tubes 1 through 8 are loaded!" Deriki said enthusiastically. "They're firing again!" he added.
"Evasive maneuvers, Mrako! Deriki, open fire!" Oberly underestimated the huge ship's speed, and the Kasatka avoided the Sibilant 's disruptor fire. Then she fired her three forward GLG-30 disruptor cannons, which struck powerfully against the Sibilant 's partially neutronium hull.
"Direct hit! The Sibilant 's hull integrity is down to 80 percent! And they're returning fire!"
"All hands brace for-" Kris was cut off by the huge explosion on the Kasatka 's aft section. The Sibilant 's own GLG-27 cannons, though not as powerful as the Kasatka 's, penetrated her shields and hit directly on the port impulse engine.
"Damage report!" Kris said, knowing they had to have taken some damage from the hit.
"Port impulse engine has sustained heavy damage!" Hikahi said.
"Fire rear disruptors!" Twin GLG-30 disruptors, revealed from hidden mounts, fired repeating blasts at the Sibilant . One of the plasma bursts ignited volatile deuterium exhaust spewing from from the damaged impulse engine, causing a huge explosion in the rear compartments of the ship.
The blast from the ignition was felt fully by the bridge. Controls exploded and raptors and dolphins were thrown about, Johnson included. "What the hell happened?" he asked, regaining his seating.
"The damaged impulse engine's exhaust combusted with a plasma burst! There's heavy radiation in the aft sections of all decks, and a hull breach on decks six through fifteen!" the dolphin at tactical reported.
"Evacuate affected areas of all decks!" Kris yelled. "Weapons and propulsion status!"
"Aft torpedo tubes and disruptors are offline! Impulse drive operational, though we've only got half of our maximum speed!"
"Injuries reported, no casualties!" Hikahi said, relieved.
"All right. Mrako, bring us about, and hold our position on the opposite side of the Exocomp from the Sibilant. "
"Aye sssir, coming about, increasssing to full impulssse" reported the raptor helmsman.
"They're firing!" Deriki said. The Kasatka was hit.
"Steady as she goes, lieutenant!" said Johnson.

Meanwhile, aboard the Sibilant , self-appointed Ultimate Ruler of Everything Nick Oberly was rushing from navigation to tactical to operations, since most of his bridge crew were dead.
"Shit!" he said, tripping over his previous tactical officer's body. "Computer, enemy status!"
"The enemy ship is attempting to retreat behind the Exocomp " said the computer in a female voice. "You want to do something about it, or what?"
"Gee, no, I think I'll just let them get away."
"Fine by me. I have to change my nail color anyway" the computer said.
"LOOK! We already had this argument on the Kestrel! Now plot a pursuit course, maximum speed!" Nick ordered.
"Yes, Master of Ultimate Universe or whatever. We're closing on them."
"On screen!" Nick yelled. The viewer showed the damaged aft section of the Kasatka rushing up at a frightening speed.
"SHIT! SLOW DOWN! NOW!" Nick yelled frantically. Suddenly the bridge tilted forward as the vessel decelerated instantly. Nick was thrown against the forward bulkhead.
"Dahm ish ouh ohpod shomoupor!" Nick said, his face smashed against the wall.
"What? I can't translate that! What the hell language are you speaking?"
Nick pulled his face off the wall. "I said, 'Damn it you stupid computer!' What the hell were you doing?"
"You told me to slow down, didn't you?"
"I said SLOW DOWN, not STOP!"
"Well, golly gee, ex-CUSE me!" said the computer, and it went on, ranting and raving.
"Damn it" Nick said, with a sigh.

"We have evaded the Sibilant , and are now holding posssition opposssite it" reported Lieutenant Mrako.
"Excellent. Hold this position." Kris tapped his comm badge. "Johnson to engineering!"
"Engineering, Takkata-jim here!"
"We've got a little time, maybe an hour at best. I want rushed repairs on the aft weapons and impulse engines!"
"All right sir, I'll put my best teams on it!"
"Do your best! Johnson out!" He turned to Hikahi. "I'm going down to the lounge, wish to join me?"
"Yes, I would love to!" Hikahi 'swam' out of her command position.
"Deriki, you have the bridge. Keep it under control" Kris said with a smile.
Deriki returned the expression as best a dolphin could. "Aye sir, I will!" Johnson and Hikahi turned, and left the bridge.

4.
The dolphin commander and the cetan captain walked through the large doors of the lounge.
"You go find a table," Kris said to Hikahi. "I'll get us something to eat."
Hikahi went to a table while Kris stepped up to the bar. The lounge wasn't extremely busy at the time.
As Captain Johnson approached, the bartender, M'kepat, rose from under the counter. "What will it be, captain?" asked the raptor.
"A double order of the usual for me, and two Vekterean Frosts."
The raptor ducked back under the counter, and returned with two glasses and a large pitcher filled with purple liquid. As he poured the drinks a medium-sized plate with fresh fish of assorted kinds appeared on the repli-pad next to Kris.
Johnson took the drinks and the plate. "Thanks M'kepat. It looks delicious." The raptor gave a nod, and then turned to serve the next customer.

Twenty minutes later, the plate was nearly empty, and they had both ordered refills of their drinks. Kris took a mullet by the tail and dropped it into his mouth, head first.
"So, how's it been for you since the war?" Hikahi asked.
"Mmm" Johnson said, chewing. "Well," he began, pulling the skeleton of the fish out of his mouth. "It's been hard. Ever since Laka died, it hasn't been the same."
Hikahi nodded. "How did it happen, if you don't mind my asking?"
Kris sighed. "We were trapped by a few surviving Cardassians on Ivor Prime. Their ship had crashed, and during a scouting expedition we happened to run into them."
"Go on."
"Well, we were ambushed. We tried to fight, but there were so many of them, and we were only equipped for scouting. And before we could beam up, Laka took a hit at close range from one of their energy weapons. We got her up to sickbay, and Makanee did the best she could, but there was no way we could save her. I stayed with her for three hours while she hung on to life, but then she died, peacefully. Hwiii and Deriki got there barely an hour after she passed away."
"I am so sorry. I had no idea she meant so much to you" said Hikahi.
Kris paused for a moment. "That was bad enough. And then, after all that pain, this had to happen to me." Kris held out his hands and spread his fingers, revealing the webbing between them.
"But I thought you were glad for that."
"Not at first. It's what I've always wanted, sort of, but at first it seemed like just another cruel blow. And it didn't seem so great either, considering that Lieutenant Akki had to die for it."
"I see what you mean."
"But now, I'm proud of it. I never liked being a human. And this has given me distinctiveness. It's just...cool!"
"Very cool" Hikahi agreed with a smile.
"Well, that and I'm going to be around a lot longer than anyone else." The transporter accident that made Johnson half dolphin also drastically slowed his aging process, for reasons nobody had ever figured out. He looked 17, even though he was much older.
Kris took another long drink of his liquid, and looked over when he heard the door open. When he saw Leeloo enter he spit the drink all over the floor. Hikahi laughed.
"Jesus!" Kris said. "Quick, let's get out of here before she sees me!" He started to get up when he saw Leeloo look directly at him, and point a finger.
"Too late" Hikahi said, amused.
Leeloo skipped across the lounge floor and up to the table. Kris set his face in his hands, trying to avoid eye contact. Leeloo pulled a chair over to one side of the table and sat down.
"Hello Leeloo!" Hikahi said cheerfully.
"Don't encourage her" grumbled Kris from under his hands.
"Catpin!" Leeloo shrieked. Hikahi grimaced at the loud noise.
"Leeloo" Kris said solemnly, bringing his head up.
"Catpin happy not? Cheer up can I do?" Leeloo asked.
Kris shook his head. "What the hell are you talking about?"
"Cheer up!" she said, and jumped out of her chair. Leeloo did a cartwheel across the floor, drawing much attention to herself from the other lounge attendants. Hikahi laughed out loud, as did several other dolphins. The raptors growled at the distraction.
Leeloo started doing jumping jacks as Kris got out of his chair. "Let's go Hikahi, before she gets any weirder."
Hikahi followed the captain out of the lounge. "Catpin!" Leeloo yelled again, and ran to follow them. The doors closed behind Hikahi and Leeloo ran into them.

5.
Johnson and Hikahi arrived back on the bridge minutes later. They took their respective positions.
"Deriki, take Leeloo's position at communications and hail the Exocomp . I have an idea."
"Aye sir" Deriki said. He worked the panel for a few seconds. "Darth Vader is responding."
"On screen" ordered Kris, standing up.
"Ah, Captain Johnson. How might my empire serve you today?" said Vader.
"Well," Johnson began, "I was thinking of a way you could repay me without a Death Star."
Vader sounded interested. "And how might this work?"
"Well, all I need you to do is make Captain Oberly wish he had never met either of us. Sound like a deal?"
Vader thought for a moment. "Yes Captain, that sounds reasonable. I will take to the matter myself. Darth Vader out."
Johnson smiled at his own idea. "Now we wait."

"Humongus fungus among us!" yelled a voice from the rear area of the bridge. Johnson didn't even need to turn around to know who that was.
Leeloo skipped through the bridge to her console. Deriki moved quickly out of the way to avoid contact.
"Leeloo!" Johnson said, against his better judgment. "How would you like to go on a mission?"
Leeloo jumped at the chance. "Oh! Mission! Goody goody fun!"
"Good." Kris smiled slyly. "All you need to do is go down to transporter room two. I'll take care of the rest. Got it?"
"Yes yes yes! Goody goody got it!" Leeloo leapt out of the chair and ran inside the turbolift.
Johnson tapped his comm badge. "Johnson to transporter room two! When Leeloo arrives, I want her beamed onto the Sibilant . Got that?"
"Yesss sir, Underssstood!" said a reptilian voice.
"Johnson out." He turned to Hikahi. "I know what you're going to say-"
"You did what you had to do" she said.
Johnson looked surprised. "Yes. I suppose I did." He paused. "Have Ensign Zaa'pht report to the bridge immediately."
"Aye captain" Hikahi said, turning to her control panel. "Leeloo has been beamed to the Sibilant , captain."
"Now it's your move, Darth." Kris said in anticipation.

Aboard the Sibilant , Oberly was working the console at navigation, trying to find the Kasatka , when an intruder alert siren sounded.
"Alert! Alert!" the computer yelled, scaring the hell out of Nick. "Intruder on deck one, section 21 alpha!"
"Damn it!" Nick said, getting up off the floor after falling out of his seat. "Wait a minute... 21 alpha? But that's the bridge!"
Nick's thoughts were proven when a transporter beam lit up the bridge. Leeloo appeared where the beam dissipated.
Nick ran backwards, tripping over another dead body and drawing his phaser. "Stay AWAY! I'll shoot! Don't think I won't!"
Leeloo stepped forward, looking at Nick and cocking her head to one side like a dog listening for a sound. "Catpin do bad? Friend will I be!" she said, opening her arms wide.
Nick was obviously confused. "Who- who are you?" he asked, walking forward a few steps and holding his phaser level.
"I be Leeloo! Emissary to none and friend to all!"
Nick gained some confidence and put his phaser back in its holster. He walked forward and extended a hand. "I am Nick Oberly, Ultimate Ruler of Everything." His hand met Leeloo's, and he started to shake it.
In a lightning-fast move Leeloo grabbed Nick's arm with her other hand and flipped him clear over her head. He landed with a crash on the captain's chair, his head striking the aft control console. "Wha- what the hell did you do that for?" he insisted, struggling to get up but too dazed to stand.
"You bad. You kill all these people. You die too" Leeloo said, and proceeded to grab Nick by the shoulders, about to flip him back the other way, when the ship was rocked by a weapons blast. Leeloo fell backwards from the jolt, Nick falling on top of her.
Captain Oberly had regained some balance, and stood up, one foot on Leeloo's neck. "If you want to live, let me take command and get us out of here!" another weapons blast rocked the ship. The structure creaked from the impact.
Leeloo just looked at Nick, and smiled. Then she grabbed his leg and yanked it out from under him, causing Oberly to fall to the ground. She then jumped up, ran to the security console, and created a forcefield around Nick, pinning him to the floor.
"You damn circus clown! Let me go!" the captain cursed, but Leeloo ignored him. She sat down at the tactical station and attempted to bring the Sibilant out of harm's way.

"The Exocomp has begun attacking the Sibilant , captain" Deriki reported.
"On screen" said the captain. The viewer showed the huge super star destroyer firing massive green fusion blasts at the Sibilant , which rocked from each impact.
"Sensors report the Sibilant 's hull integrity is down to 50 percent" Hikahi said.
"Let's give Darth Vader a hand, shall we? Deriki, arm all forward weaponry and bring us within range of the Sibilant ."
"Aye captain, arming weapons and bringing us about!"
"The fight has begun!" Johnson said.
The Kasatka emerged from behind the Exocomp 's sensor-shadowing hull.

Meanwhile, Leeloo had fully familiarized herself with the Sibilant 's controls, and began returning fire at Darth Vader's ship. Realizing that the weapons were not damaging the Exocomp , Leeloo attempted to plot an escape course.

"All forward weapons are ready!" Deriki reported. "The Sibilant is attempting to engage her transwarp engines!"
"Lock on a tractor beam! Don't let them get away!"
"Aye captain! Tractor beam... Locked!"
"Open fire!" Kris ordered.

The Sibilant was rapidly loosing the battle as both the Kasatka and Exocomp tore into it with powerful weapons.
"Leeloo! Let me go, and we can escape!" Nick pleaded. "There's nothing you can do to save the ship! Just let me go!"
Leeloo thought for a moment, and then punched buttons at her console, releasing the forcefield. Nick got back on his feet. "Come on Leeloo!" he said, grabbing her.
"No! Wait!" she said, pulling from his grasp. Working the panel as fast as any android, she initiated the self destruct, set for one minute.
"All right! Now let's go!" They both ran into the turbolift, and were whisked away to the shuttlebay.

Inside the huge shuttlebay, shuttlecraft of all shapes and sizes were lined up along the walls.
"My personal collection" Nick said, yanking Leeloo along. "It's a shame they're all going to be destroyed." Nick sighed, and pulled the girl over to an unusual looking ship. "This is my pride and joy, the Cloakshape fighter. Only one like her left in the universe. Built to original factory specifications."
He climbed into the cockpit, leaving Leeloo on the deck below. "Unfortunately it only seats one. Sorry Leeloo!" Nick closed the cockpit and instructed the shuttlebay to open. Leeloo swore under her breath, and ran around, frantically looking for a shuttle she could take. Then she saw one, climbed into the cockpit, and quickly figured out how it worked.

"Two ships are leaving the Sibilant 's shuttlebay!" Deriki reported. "And the Sibilant has just exploded!"
Cheers went up around the bridge. "What is the configuration of the craft?" Kris asked.
The dolphin worked his control panel. "The leading vessel is designated as a 'Cloakshape' model, and the pursuing fighter is one Amicus AM-12 strike fighter."
"One of ours" Kris said. "That thief."
"Sir," Deriki said, "the Amicus ship is firing on the other vessel! The Cloakshape fighter is taking evasive action!"
Kris laughed. "Looks like Nick will have his hands full for a while."
"Both ships have gone to transwarp, captain."
Johnson sighed. It had been a long day. "Zaa'pht, hail the Exocomp and thank the Vader for his assistance."
"Aye sir" the dolphin officer said.
"And Mrako, lay in a course for The Mecca of Ultimate Paradise. I think we could all use a little rest."
"Courssse laid in, sssir" said the raptor.
"Darth Vader has acknowledged" said the communications officer.
Kris leaned back in his chair. "Lieutenant Mrako."
"Sssir?"
Johnson smiled. "Engage."
The Kasatka came about and disappeared in a bright flash of light.
