Interstellar Alliance officer Eclipse was hatched on June 23, 2395, on the Gryphon world of A'kret. As a young gryphlet, Eclipse had dreams of one day traveling among the stars, exploring new worlds and protecting the Federation.

His dream was realized in 2407 when, at the age of 12, he applied and was accepted to Starfleet Academy. This was also the year in which the parallel universe was joined with his own, dawning an exciting new era of discovery between two different realities as Eclipse took his first steps towards his dream.

Eclipse's pursuits were interrupted in 2408 when it was feared the universe was about to collapse and the only escape was the massive trans-dimensional Starship Draconic. Eclipse and his family were among those lucky enough to make it aboard the vessel before it escaped into a different dimension.

For the next six months, Eclipse survived aboard the Draconic until a suitable new home was found in 2409. Despite the ensuing war which continues to this day, Eclipse was able to complete his education and graduate in 2412 an officer of the Interstellar Alliance.

With a growing need for crew throughout the fleet, Eclipse was assigned to the Deus Ex Machina class IAS Eagle in 2412 as Communications officer. His service was so outstanding that the CO of the Eagle promoted him to Lieutenant in 2414, and Lt. Commander in 2416. He was recommended for command at the time of his second promotion, and received it in 2417, as Commanding Officer of the IAS Confidence.
